To our valued customers and partners:
The coronavirus (COVID-19) is having an unprecedented impact on individuals, business, and society. At PIC, we are committed to working with our partners to serve our customers, the pork industry and our communities in a responsible way. Our goal is to provide reliable service, while maintaining the health and safety of our people, our operations, and your operations.
We have been taking several actions and have been changing the way we operate. Our actions vary by country to reflect the local situation and government policies. Everywhere, we closely follow local health regulations and respect the policies that our customers and business partners put in place.
We have implemented work-from-home policies for non-farm staff in line with community quarantine guidelines. This includes more remote support by our Technical Services team. In our farming operations, we are taking necessary measures to ensure the health of our people and their families while we continue to take care of our animals. Together with our distribution and logistics partners, we are implementing processes to secure and safely deliver PIC semen and breeding stock to your farms without disruption.
In finding ways to continue providing technical support, despite the restrictions preventing our team from being physically inside your farms, we would like to continue offering our local and global experts’ support thru:
- Technical reading materials
- Online training and discussions
- Video conferencing and consultations
- Data monitoring & analysis to help determine key opportunities to improve production performances
- Biosecurity discussions and virtual audits
You may contact your Key Account Managers and/or Technical Services Officers, if there are any services we could provide you as a customer, or if you have any other concerns that our local and global technical service team can help address. You may also visit our website (www.PIC.com) or follow our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/PIC.Phils) for other updates.
The situation continues to evolve rapidly, and we will continue to evaluate and adjust our processes. We do not doubt there will be instances where the circumstances will hinder us from achieving our goals. That said, our colleagues are working hard to adapt to the situation and deliver on our commitment to “Never Stop Improving”. We believe that in leveraging science and technology and collaborating with all industry participants, we will overcome these challenges together.
Stay healthy!
From your partners and friends at PIC.
