As the country commemorated its Independence Day last June 12, the local swine industry witnessed another significant milestone in its road to recovery – the groundbreaking of the new breeder farm of Mighty Livestock Farms, Inc. located in Callejon, Quezon province.
Owned by the Siu family, this 1,250 sow gilt multiplication farm will become an important unit of PIC Philippines’ supply chain network of multiplier partners that will satisfy the growing demand for high health and world-class genetics.
This significant event included not only the family’s friends and relatives but also local government officials and major supplier partners like Huali, Denarch, and of course, PIC Philippines, which will provide the breeding stock and technical assistance all the way to the production phase.
Based on the project timeline, the loading of the first batch of animals is expected by the second quarter of 2025.
